AlemX is a social app where people set the price of their attention. Payments move directly between users' self-custody wallets or through audited, immutable contracts. AlemX never holds user funds or keys.
Five principles
Self-custody by default. Each wallet is controlled by a signing key on the user's own device, unlocked with biometrics.
No pooled accounts. There is no AlemX omnibus account. A balance is the on-chain balance of the user's own wallet, not an entry in our database.
Rules in code. Conditional payments settle through audited smart contracts whose upgrade authority has been removed. Nobody, including AlemX, can change their rules or redirect funds held under them.
Fiat only through licensed partners. Converting money into or out of digital dollars happens only with licensed providers, under their licenses and their KYC.
Withdrawal is always available. Any user can move their full balance to any compatible external wallet at any time.
Every AlemX account includes a self-custody USDC wallet. The signing key stays on the user's device behind biometrics. AlemX holds no key that can move user funds, and withdrawal is always available.
How it works
On sign-up, a smart wallet is created for the user on the Solana network, using wallet infrastructure from Crossmint.
The wallet's signer is a key on the user's device. Every outgoing payment needs the user's approval with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode.
The wallet holds USDC, a dollar stablecoin issued by Circle. In the app it is shown simply as a dollar balance.
The Withdraw button on the Wallet screen sends any amount to an external wallet address of the user's choice.
What AlemX cannot do
Move, freeze or seize funds in a user's wallet
Reverse a transfer the user signed
Recover funds by itself on the user's behalf without the user's signer
Send moves USDC from one user's self-custody wallet to another's. The sender signs on their device. It is free, and AlemX never receives, holds or forwards the funds.
How it works
The sender picks a contact and an amount.
If the recipient has not confirmed their identity, the app warns the sender to be sure they know the person.
The sender approves with biometrics. The transaction is signed on the device and settles on Solana in seconds.
The funds arrive in the recipient's own wallet. AlemX charges no fee.
What AlemX cannot do
Take a cut of a transfer
Hold a transfer or redirect it to another wallet
Policy basis
A transfer between two people's own wallets, initiated and signed by the sender, without any intermediary holding the funds. Not a purchase of digital content. See App Store 3.2.1(vii).
Feature
Gift
Short answer
A Gift lets a user send USDC to someone not yet on AlemX. Funds wait in an audited, immutable contract until claimed, or return to the sender. 100% goes to the recipient and it unlocks nothing.
How it works
The sender chooses an amount and shares a gift link with the recipient.
The amount moves from the sender's wallet into the AlemX Gift contract, an audited program on Solana whose upgrade authority has been removed.
When the recipient joins and claims the gift, the contract releases the full amount to the recipient's new wallet.
If the gift is not claimed in time, the contract returns it to the sender.
What AlemX cannot do
Take any fee from a gift
Claim, redirect or keep an unclaimed gift
Change the contract's rules
Policy basis
A voluntary gift where 100% of the funds reach the recipient and nothing in the app is unlocked by it. See App Store 3.2.1(vii).
Feature
Paid Attention
Patent pending US 19/716,294 · US 19/731,015
Short answer
Paid Attention is a service the user sells. Each user sets the price of their own attention; each advertiser sets its own budget. When the system finds a match, the advertiser pays the user for their attention. With no match, the user sees no ads and no prompts.
How it works
The user sets the price. At registration, each user decides what their attention is worth, for example $0.50 per verified view. Later they can raise it, lower it or switch ads off entirely. Only the user can change it.
The advertiser sets its budget. Independently, an advertiser defines a campaign, its total budget and the maximum it is prepared to pay per view, and funds it from its own wallet. Advertisers do not see individual users' prices and do not negotiate with users.
The system matches. AlemX compares the two automatically. A campaign is shown to a user only when the advertiser's terms meet that user's price.
The user decides. If there is a match, the user sees a labeled ad and chooses whether to give it their attention. Declining or ignoring it has no consequence.
The attention is verified. A short on-device check confirms that a person is actually watching. No image or biometric data leaves the device.
The advertiser pays for the attention. When the view is complete, a smart contract transfers the user's price from the advertiser's funds into the user's own wallet, and the disclosed platform fee to AlemX, in a single transaction.
The user sells attention. The advertiser buys it.
This is a sale of a service between two parties. The user provides their attention at their own price. The advertiser, a third party, pays for that attention out of its own budget. AlemX provides the marketplace and the verification, and charges the advertiser a disclosed fee. AlemX does not hand out currency for actions and never funds payments to users from its own money.
The user's price is a filter, not a task
The price a user sets decides which ads may reach them. It is not a target to reach, a quota to fill or an activity to complete.
Situation
What the user sees
No campaign meets the user's price
No ads, no offers, no placeholder, no "make money" screen and no message suggesting a lower price. The app works as a normal social app.
A campaign meets the user's price
A labeled ad, paid for by the advertiser. Watching is optional.
The user switches ads off
No ads at all.
The user changes their price
Matches are recalculated against the new price. AlemX never changes the price on the user's behalf.
What the app never does
Show a call to action to make money, watch more ads or "complete tasks"
Pay users for downloading the app, inviting friends, posting, checking in, rating the app or any other action
Use daily goals, streaks, quotas, minimum views, timers, leaderboards or bonuses tied to watching ads
Send notifications urging users to watch ads for money
Fill empty slots with house ads or suggest changing the price to get more ads
Promise, estimate or display expected income
What AlemX cannot do
Set or change a user's price
Show a user an ad whose terms do not meet their price
Pay users from AlemX funds or promise income
Hold a completed payment back from the user's wallet
Policy basis
The app offers no currency for completing tasks (App Store 3.1.5(v)): there are no tasks, and the app pays nothing. A third-party advertiser pays the user for their attention, only at a price the user set, and only when the user chooses to accept the ad. App Store 3.2.2(x) expressly permits apps to let users choose to watch ads. See App Store and Google Play.
Feature
Paid messages
Patent pending US 19/731,015
Short answer
Users can set a price for strangers to message them. Messages between contacts are free. A paid offer waits in escrow, goes to the recipient when read, and returns to the sender after 3 days unread.
How it works
A user decides whether people outside their contacts must pay to reach them, and sets the price and what it includes.
A sender who wants to reach that person sees the price and the AlemX fee before sending.
The payment moves from the sender's wallet into an audited escrow contract.
When the recipient opens the message, the contract releases their full price to them and the fee to AlemX.
If the message stays unread for 3 days, the contract returns the full amount to the sender.
The recipient can also accept a message for free, which returns the payment to the sender.
Messages are end-to-end encrypted. Conversations between contacts are free and unlimited.
What AlemX cannot do
Read message content
Keep a payment for an unread message
Change the recipient's price
Policy basis
The sender pays a specific person for their time and reply, and that person receives the price they set. No app feature or content is unlocked by the payment. See App Store.
Feature
Identity verification
Short answer
Identity verification is optional and currently free. KYC is performed by licensed partners. AlemX does not collect or store ID documents, document photos or biometric data.
How it works
The user selects their country. Unsupported or sanctioned countries are stopped at this step.
The app hands the user to a licensed partner, chosen automatically by country, to complete KYC.
The partner returns only the result. A verified profile shows a green ring.
What AlemX cannot do
See or store the user's documents or selfie
Verify identity itself
Policy basis
Verification is identity confirmation by regulated providers, not a digital product. See Compliance.
Feature
AlemX Card
Short answer
Verified users can activate a Visa card issued by licensed partners. It spends from the user's own wallet. Issuance, KYC and settlement are handled by the issuing partners under their licenses.
How it works
After verification, the user activates a virtual card and can add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
At checkout, the issuing partner settles the purchase in local currency from the user's balance.
AlemX receives a share of interchange from the issuer. The user pays no issuance fee.
Policy basis
A payment card for goods and services outside the app, provided by licensed issuers. See App Store 3.1.3(e).
Feature
Advertising
Short answer
AlemX sells no ad credits, coins, boosts or other digital goods. Advertisers pay viewers directly, from their own self-custody wallet, through a smart contract, at each viewer's own price. AlemX never holds advertiser budgets.
How it works
A business accepts the AlemX Advertiser Terms and sets up a campaign: the creative, the audience and the maximum price per view it is willing to pay.
The advertiser funds the campaign from its own self-custody wallet. The transaction is signed on the advertiser's own device and goes straight into the settlement contract. No AlemX checkout, balance or credit is involved.
For each completed, verified view, the contract pays the viewer's price into the viewer's own wallet and the platform fee to AlemX, in one transaction.
Every ad is labeled as an ad, can be closed, and can be reported. Ads that break the Community Guidelines or Advertiser Terms are removed.
An advertiser does not buy digital content or features from AlemX. It pays other people, the viewers, directly for their attention, wallet to wallet through a contract, with no AlemX account in between. Ads are labeled, dismissible and reportable. See App Store and Regulation.
Money
Top up and withdraw
Short answer
Users add money with a card or bank through a licensed partner, or send USDC from another wallet or exchange. They can withdraw their full balance at any time. AlemX never holds the funds in between.
Top up with a card or bank
The user enters an amount. Payment and conversion to USDC are handled by Crossmint, our licensed partner.
The partner delivers USDC straight into the user's own wallet.
Limits apply to fiat top-ups. Above partner thresholds, the partner runs its own KYC.
Deposit from an exchange or another wallet
Users can send USDC to their AlemX wallet from an exchange or another wallet. Every deposit ends up in the user's own wallet and is confirmed by the user.
Withdraw
Withdraw is on the main Wallet screen. The user sends any amount to an external wallet address or cashes out through a licensed partner. There is no AlemX approval step.
What AlemX cannot do
Hold deposits in an AlemX account
Block or delay a withdrawal
Money
Fees
Short answer
Sending money and gifts is free. AlemX earns a disclosed fee on Paid Attention and paid messages, added on top of the recipient's price, and a share of card interchange from the issuer. Network fees are covered by AlemX.
Recipients always receive exactly the price they set. Every fee is shown before the user confirms.
Attention
My Attention
Short answer
Each user sets two prices: one for brands to show them an ad, one for strangers to message them. Users can change or turn off either price at any time. AlemX never sets or lowers them.
How it works
During sign-up, the user picks a price for brands and a price for messages. The app suggests a default the user can change.
The home screen shows the user's own prices, for example "For brands · $0.50" and "For DM · $2.00", and recent payments.
Prices can be changed in settings at any time. Offers below the user's price never reach them.
Payments go to the user's own wallet. To receive offers, the user activates their wallet with a one-time code.
Attention
Presence check
Patent pending US 19/716,294
Short answer
During a paid view, the front camera briefly confirms that a person is watching. It runs on the device, is not facial recognition, and no image, video or biometric data is stored or sent.
How it works
The first time, the app asks for camera permission through the standard iOS or Android dialog. The user can decline.
The camera runs only while a paid view is on screen, with the system camera indicator visible.
An on-device check answers one question: is a person present. Only that yes or no is used.
The result confirms that the view was completed. It does not measure emotions, identity or attention level.
What AlemX cannot do
See or record camera images
Identify a person from the camera
Use camera data for advertising or profiling
Social
Messenger
Short answer
AlemX Messenger is end-to-end encrypted. Messages between contacts are free and unlimited. Only first contact from strangers can carry a price, set by the recipient.
How it works
Messages are encrypted on the sender's device and decrypted only on the recipient's device.
Contacts message each other for free.
A person outside the user's contacts can reach them through a paid message, if the user has set a price.
Any user can block or report another user.
What AlemX cannot do
Read the content of encrypted messages
Social

Social
Sara, AI assistant
Short answer
Sara is the AI assistant in AlemX. It runs on a third-party AI model. What is sent to it is disclosed, and the user's permission is asked before any personal data is shared.
How it works
Users open Sara to get help with the app. Advertisers receive campaign reports written with Sara's help.
Before first use, the app explains that requests are processed by a third-party AI provider and asks for permission.
Data sent to the provider is limited to what the request needs and is not used by AlemX for advertising.
Sara does not move money and cannot take actions in a user's wallet.
Social
Creator Program
Short answer
Creators who build an audience on AlemX receive a share of AlemX's own platform fee from their community's later activity. Nothing is paid for a download or sign-up, and users' payments are never reduced.
How it works
A creator invites people with a personal link.
No payment is made for an install, a sign-up or an invitation itself.
When invited people later use paid features, AlemX earns its platform fee. A share of that fee is credited to the creator.
Shares are paid from AlemX's own fee wallets. The amount the viewer or recipient receives is never touched.
Creators see Pending, Chargeback protection and Available amounts separately. Rates depend on the creator's tier and are set out in the program terms.
What this is not
A payment for downloading or installing the app
An investment or a share in AlemX

Social
Contests
Short answer
AlemX runs skill-based contests with official rules published in the app. AlemX is the sponsor, and Apple and Google are not involved. There are no lotteries, raffles or paid entries.
Rules for every contest
Winners are decided by results, never by chance.
Entry is free. No purchase is needed to take part or win.
Official rules, dates and prizes are published in the app before the contest starts.
Prize funds are held in a public wallet so anyone can check they exist.
Anti-fraud checks apply, and fraudulent entries are disqualified.
Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, and are not involved in, any AlemX contest.
Account
Recovery and deletion
Short answer
A lost phone does not mean lost money: access is restored through the user's own authentication with the wallet provider. Users can delete their account in the app and are asked to withdraw their balance first.
Lost or new phone
The user signs in on the new device and passes the wallet provider's recovery checks.
A new device signer is set up for the same wallet.
AlemX staff cannot restore access to a wallet or move funds on the user's behalf.
Account deletion
Delete account is available in Settings.
Before deletion, the app shows the wallet balance and asks the user to withdraw it.
Personal data held by AlemX is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Records on the public blockchain cannot be deleted by anyone.
Trust
Smart contracts
Patent pending US 19/731,015
Short answer
Conditional payments in AlemX run on audited Solana programs whose upgrade authority has been removed. Anyone can verify each program's address, code and status on a public explorer.
A program without upgrade authority cannot be changed by anyone, including AlemX. New versions are deployed as new programs, and this table is updated when that happens.

Short answer
AlemX is not available in sanctioned jurisdictions. Fiat top-ups, verification and cards are offered only where our licensed partners operate, and the app checks this before any payment.
How it is enforced
Sanctioned countries and regions are blocked.
The verification flow checks the user's country first and stops before any payment if no partner covers it.
Wallets are screened against sanctions lists before paid offers are created.
Markets where digital dollar services are restricted are not targeted.

Rules
Regulation
Short answer
AlemX does not transmit money or hold crypto-assets for users, because it never controls user funds. Regulated steps, such as converting fiat, are performed by licensed partners under their licenses.
United States
FinCEN guidance on convertible virtual currency (FIN-2019-G001, May 2019) turns on whether a business has independent control over a customer's value. People using self-custody wallets for themselves are not money transmitters, and wallet software providers that never control user funds are treated differently from custodial businesses. AlemX holds no keys and cannot move, freeze or redirect funds.
European Union
Under MiCA (Regulation (EU) 2023/1114), custody and transfer of crypto-assets for clients are regulated services. Providers of non-custodial wallet software are outside that scope. Fiat conversion in the EU is performed by our licensed partner. EEA operations run through Alemx OÜ, Estonia.
Taxes
Payments users receive are their own income under local rules. AlemX does not give tax advice.
